Becca Balint Leads Molly Gray by +32-Point Margin in Vermont’s At-Large Congressional Democratic Primary

On August 9th, Democratic voters in Vermont will go to the polls to decide their candidate in the November election for Vermont’s at-large Congressional district. New Data for Progress polling finds that Becca Balint leads Molly Gray by a +32-point margin.

In a July 27 - August 1 survey, 59 percent of likely voters said they would back Becca Balint, among those who’ve already voted, 73% back Balint. Molly Gray is in second with 27 percent of the vote. Twelve percent of likely voters are still undecided ahead of next week’s election.

 
 

The candidate who wins the primary will enter the general election to replace Representative Peter Welch. In 2020, Welch won the general election with 67 percent of the vote.
