“People across the country recognize that immigrants, including millions of undocumented immigrants, have been essential to helping our families and communities survive this pandemic, and they will be vital to our economic and public health recovery,” said Senator Alex Padilla of California. “We have an obligation to recognize their essential role in our society, and that means the undocumented immigrants who have been on the frontlines of this pandemic deserve not just short-term COVID and labor protections but also the long-term security of a pathway to citizenship.”
“The American people overwhelmingly support a path to citizenship for Dreamers,” said Congressman Joaquin Castro (TX-20). “This pandemic has highlighted the contributions of immigrants to American society, particularly as essential workers. Now is the moment for Congress to deliver permanent protection for Dreamers and unlock their full potential for our entire nation.”

Methodology
From January 9 to January 10, 2021, Data for Progress conducted a survey of 1129 likely voters nationally using web panel respondents. The sample was weighted to be representative of likely voters by age, gender, education, race, and voting history. The survey was conducted in English. The margin of error is ±2.9 percentage points. NB: subgroups with a n-size less than 50 (<50) are not shown on these cross-tabs. We choose not to display N<50 subgroups because the sample is too small to have statistical significance. We did, however, take samples of these subgroups for representational and weighting purposes to accurately reflect the electorate makeup. Some values may not add up to 100 due to rounding.
