A Strong Majority of Voters Continue to Support the American Rescue Plan

By Lew Blank

As President Biden pushes forward with his Build Back Better Act, new Data for Progress polling finds that voters strongly support the first stimulus package passed by the Biden administration in March: the American Rescue Plan. In a new survey conducted from November 10 to 15, we find a +38-point margin of voters support the American Rescue Plan, including an overwhelming majority of Democrats (+81) and a clear majority of Independents (+30). Republican voters are split on the bill, with 47 percent in support and 49 percent opposed.

As the Senate debates the Build Back Better Act, this polling demonstrates that bold investments in our communities maintain long-lasting support with voters.
