Americans Blame Republicans For $2,000 Checks Failure

Today, Data for Progress released new national polling that shows a majority of Americans (62%) blame Republicans for the failure to come to an agreement on $2,000 checks: 47% specifically blame Congressional Republicans and Senator Mitch McConnell, and 15% blame President Trump.

On December 30, 2020, Data for Progress conducted a survey of 1166 likely voters nationally using web panel respondents. The sample was weighted to be representative of likely voters by age, gender, education, race, and voting history. The survey was conducted in English. The margin of error is ±2.9 percentage points.
